NATURE and ART
Plant Works by Ruth Moro
3 – 17 October 2020 l WBB GALLERY l Invitation
Nonprofit Exhibition. – The exhibition «Nature and Art» with works by Ruth Moro pays tribute to the fascinating beauty of plants and, at the same time, serves a good cause. A total of 70% of the proceeds from the sale of the pictures goes to the aid organization «Association Bernadette Strebel World Peace» (ABSWP), which volunteers for numerous environmental and social projects in Nigeria. With the purchase of a timeless work by Ruth Moro, you help to make the world a little better.
Artist. – The Swiss artist Ruth Moro is enthusiastic about the medium of paper, for whose manufacture she gets trained in Switzerland, France, Germany, and Japan. After a profound experience, she decides to devote herself to entirely vegetable-based papers. This is how an intensive examination of the world of plants begins, which the artist collects herself in Nature. The herbal raw materials for her pictures are artistically transformed in an elaborate process by boiling, rinsing, bleaching, and dyeing.
Ruth Moro’s works of art have been shown in over 100 solo and group exhibitions around the world, receiving international recognition. The artist lives and works in Ticino, Switzerland.
Aid Organization. – The organization «Association Bernadette Strebel World Peace» (ABSWP), founded in 2006 and recognized as an NGO, has been involved in numerous projects for the population and the environment of Nigeria, one of the poorest countries in Africa with almost 90 million inhabitants living in absolute poverty. With the reforestation project «Trees for Peace», 300,000 trees have been sustainably planted so far, and 80 jobs have been created on site on plantations. ABSWP is also committed to the malaria treatment of children and their schooling. It also promotes the construction of wells and supports the women’s shelter «Women Light Home». The entire European team works on a voluntary basis, as does WBB GALLERY in the context of this nonprofit exhibition.
We look forward to your valued visit.
