SHELTER
Safe in Life
6 November 2021 – 2 April 2022 l WBB GALLERY l Zurich l Fri & Sat 2 to 6 p.m. l Invitation
Rudolf Leitner-Gründberg is a passionate artist, philosopher and humanist. His vision shines like a beacon through the darkness of our time providing hope. Without ignoring the shadows of the outside world, his work creates a refuge, guiding the viewer back into a state of basic trust.
It is no coincidence that the painter and designer has been working with the finest materials for decades. Gold and lapis lazuli in particular have become the artist’s trademark, as well as the symbol of the crown. The radiance of gold transcends the world of illusion and connects people with their essence.
Gründberg’s works refer to a deeper vision of what humans are by appealing to humanistic values. His vision is less intellectual than mystical in nature. It connects mind and heart through the quality of eros, the power of unifying love.
Gründberg’s work has been shown in over 100 exhibitions worldwide and is represented in numerous collections, including the Sammlung des Bundes (Vienna), the Richard J. Massey Foundation (New York) and the LENTOS Art Museum (Linz). The artist lives and works in Wolfsbach, Lower Austria, in a rectory from the 17th century, which serves as a studio and museum.
After Transfiguration (2017), SHELTER is the artist’s second solo exhibition in the WBB GALLERY. In addition to a retrospective, new works of art from the Blue Series will be presented.
We are looking forward to your visit!
