Klaus von Kreutziger‘s highly aesthetic bronze and wood sculptures are made for eternity. The artist often works meticulously for months until his ideas and visions are born as perfectly shaped models and bodies. Thereby, the trained engineer and cello soloist is concerned with more than aesthetics. Under his hands, abstract ideas take on concrete form. The strictly mathematical and geometric merge fluently into bodies with a platonic appearance, which, despite or precisely because of their simplicity, always surprise. Central to his work are insight, development, and encounter: art as a dialog between spirit and matter.
